Voting on Spark the Rise begins today!
12 September 2011
Dear friends,
First of all, we would like to thank you for the massive response to Spark the Rise. In this first round, 1,592 projects have been submitted and 819* have been approved. We are absolutely thrilled by the quality and the alternative thinking demonstrated in the projects and are excited to see people get involved and volunteer across the whole country to drive positive change.
For those who had their projects rejected, don’t give up! There are still 5 rounds of submissions, and we will be happy to review your new projects in the next rounds. We have posted tips for project submissions here, and the forum is a great place to seek advice and support if you are contemplating submitting a project in the near future.
The first round of voting will close Friday 30th of September at midnight, and the winners will be announced on Monday 3rd of October. Please invite your family, friends and colleagues on Spark the Rise to vote and get involved**! The leaderboard will be regularly updated on our Facebook page. Do visit us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to receive updates and exclusive content about Spark the Rise.
*166 projects were submitted less than 96 hours from the 10th September deadline. We are currently reviewing these projects and the ones approved will go live on the site between now and the 15th of September as stated in our previous communication here.
**Please remember: people need to create a Spark the Rise account to be able to vote and get involved in projects!
