About the Idea
As we all know that kinetic energy is lost in the form of heat while braking which is released to the environment. So the idea is to conserve the energy lost by converting it to electrical energy and storing it in batteries.i attach strong magnets to the wheels and connect a dynamo to the brakes so while light braking the dynamo moves forward and creates a resistance in the form of braking and hence we get light braking depending on the strength of the magnets and the quality of the dynamo.for hard braking we use the brake calipers as normal.i ll achieve this by bifurcating the hydraulic link to the brakes between a dynamo and the brake calipers and control the area of both the tubes so as to get the distance traveled by the brakes and the dynamo under my control.
Idea Action Plan
The Idea's 30-Day Plan
1To find suitable materials.
suitable materials for magnets(high magnetizing power but cheap) and wires for dynamo(very little resistance and cheap)

The Idea's 60-Day Plan
1to check viability of the process
to see how much electricity is being generated and calculating it by applying it on one of the tires.

The Idea's 120-Day Plan
1to take the test car on road
to take the test car on road and check how much electricity is generated practically and modify changes.

How do you plan to utilize the grant
If i were to receive the Mahindra grant, i would utilize it by making this idea more and more cheaper by working on the mechanism and finding ways to use lesser and cheaper materials to use.mainly it would go the research work and making it easier to purchase and install so that it can be used by all car manufacturers.
Who will this help Rise
The general population will be helped as ENERGY CONSERVATION is one of the main concerns of the masses.
How will this help them Rise?
Conservation of energy in large scale in all locomotives will be able to generate huge amounts of electricity.
Idea Milestones
The main goal is to help conserve valuable resources whichever way we can as they are finite.Consider this, millions of cars and all have 4 wheels & if in all wheels we are able to apply such a system, how much energy can be conserved.

But I will suggest you to calculate on the statistics of the idea. For eg: How much energy you can save? How much your model can reuse the energy; totally or partially spent in braking. How much fuel can be saved; on a car; on lakhs of car; in a day; in a year and how much money that accounts to? Can it be used in a two wheeler or a train and so on.
Because only numbers speak that will give the true attention to the idea.

Good idea. The same idea had come to my mind about how can we save the energy we waste while braking. But as I don't have engineering background I was thinking on some simple mechanism. Like storing the energy in braking in the form of potential energy like that in stretched rubber band or spring and reusing it when the brakes are released. I haven't yet thought on a model of how can we use this principle in a car.
